Meaningful understanding of a language is an outcome of the interaction of three elements: grapho-phonemic, syntax, and semantic. Grapho-phonemic: ability to recognize the text and sound of the words. Syntax: ability to construct sentences grammatically. Semantic: ability to use correct word choices, correct intonation patterns, and correct grammar in appropriate contexts. Cikgu, cikgu

Ajarlah saya, saya mahu belajar. Kadang-kala saya tak tahu buat kerja sebab saya tak faham.

Cikgu, cikgu

Biarlah saya dengan diri saya. Saya tak mahu seperti Ali atau Amirah. Saya tak mahu melukis seperti Ahmad atau menulis seperti Nurul. Tolonglah jangan bentuk saya seperti orang lain. Saya suka siapa saya.

Cikgu, cikgu

Pandanglah saya. Tidakkah cikgu ternampak saya melihat di luar tingkap? Tidakkah cikgu nampak saya bermain dengan kereta mainan? Kadang saya buat bising supaya cikgu melihat saya dan memanggil nama saya. Saya suka bila cikgu panggil nama saya.

Cikgu, cikgu

Lihatlah saya.
