Direction: This instrument consists of twenty-five statements concerning feelings about communicating with other people.  Please indicate the degree to which each statement applies to you by indicating 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 at the end of each statement.   Please record your first impression.  How to compute your score? What does your score mean? I will provide the formula upon request.

SS = 1 Strongly Agree
S = 2  Agree
TP = 3 Undecided
TS = 4 Disagree
STS = 5  Strongly Disagree

Arahan: Borang soalselidik  ini mengandungi dua puluh lima penyataan mengenai komunikasi dengan orang lain.  Sila reaksi anda terhadap sejauh mana penyataan tersebut berkaitan dengan diri anda dengan menandakan 1, 2, 3, 4 atau 5 di akhir penyataan berkenaan.  Rekodkan tanggapan anda yang pertama. Azizi telah mendaftar sebagai pelajar siswazah di Institut Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (ATMA) UKM juga adalah dibawah penyeliaan saya. Ketika beliau memulakan pengajian Ph.D., beliau masih berkhidmat di sebuah Kolej swasta di Selangor. Bagaimanapun, semasa dalam pengajiannya di sini, dengan kelayakan yang beliau ada,  beliau telah diterima sebagai pensyarah di Pusat Pengajian Umum (PPU) UKM.

Kini Dr Azizi menyambung tugasnya  sebagai pensyarah di PPU.

Tahniah kepada Yusmilayati bt. Yunos dari Pusat Pengajian Bahasa, Kesusasteraan dan Kebudayaan Melayu FSKK UKM yang telah dianugerah Ijazah Doktor Falsafah pada 24 Sept 2011.

Yusmilayati mengikuti pengajian Ph.D. di Institut Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (ATMA) UKM. Kajian beliau telah diselia oleh penyelia utama Prof. Dr. Noriah Mohamed (kini berkhidmat di Brunei) dan saya sebagai penyelia kedua.

Dr. Yusmilayati kini meneruskan karier beliau sebagai pensyarah di Pusat Pengajian Bahasa, Kesusasteraan dan Kebudayaan Melayu FSKK UKM.

Congratulations to Aumia Saied Mohamad  Abdal Gader from Libya. She had completed her Master of Arts in English Language Studies in March this year. She is now preparing herself to pursue a Ph.D. soon.

Besides Aumia, there are two other MA students, Hisain Mohammed Elzaalouk from Libya ( Dec 2010) and Mohamad Yahya Abdullah (May 2011) from Iraq,  who had completed their theses under my supervision at the School of Language Studies and Linguistics,  Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Unfortunately they could not join us at UKM Convo this year. They had to go back to their home countries to continue their work services and to meet their families after they submitted their MA theses.

Congratulations also to both Hisain from Libya and Mohamad  from Iraq.

Wishing all of you all the best with your future undertakings.

Tahniah kepada Zainuddin Losi, M.Phil. yang telah berjaya menamatkan pengajiannya di Institut Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (ATMA), UKM 2011.

Selamat maju jaya dalam karier anda. Zainuddin adalah dari Makasar Indonesia, dan kini sedang membuat persediaan untuk menyambung pengajian doktor falsafah.

Zainuddin adalah pelajar  M. Phil di bawah penyeliaan saya di ATMA, selain daripada Roziana Rosli yang telah tamat pada 2006.

Congratulations Dr Ismie Roha bt Mohd Jais,  Ph.D. in Language Education and Technology from UKM, 2011. Dr Ismie Roha is  my supervisee at ATMA, a center of excellence  in UKM.  ATMA is  multidisciplinary research center that was established in 1972.

She is now the Head of  Academic Leadership & Talent Enhancement, ILQAM UiTM Shah Alam.
